Have fun and add tremendous personality to your scrapbook travel journal — Gather Memorabilia!!!

• Keep everything from your trip.  Later you can sort out the gems you want to scrapbook.
• Maps, brochures, and tickets stubs add authenticity to your pages.
• Local stamps are fascinating and not expensive to collect.
• Paper money in the local currency can be used to add dimension to your pages.
• Foreign coins have interesting cultural designs and come in funky shapes and sizes.
• Pick up a local newspaper as well as business cards from your favorite restaurants and tour guides.
• Keep the bill from your hotel stay and airline ticket. (Years later you’ll be surprised to see how costs have changed.)

Pretend you are a detective gathering evidence … evidence of how much fun you have on this trip.

Scrapbook photos, photos, photos in your travel journal.  Just jot a note on the blank page where you will put one, across from a couple descriptive words on the lined page.

The stars of every travel scrapbook are the photographs.

Since digital cameras allow us to take as many photos as we like and print only the best, feel free to snap away!

If you miss it, there will be no way to recreate that magical moment when a friend grins over the wonderful meal you had at the fabulous French restaurant.  (Yes, take a photo of the food!  Don’t wish later you had whipped out your camera, lest you feel embarrassed.)

Take photos in both horizontal and vertical orientations. This gives you more page layout options when you go to scrap.

Cameras today are small and SO easy to point-n-shoot.  You have no more excuses!
